Why people hire York Design
Designer and carpenter in one
Most renovations pass between a designer, a cabinet maker and a builder. With York Design the person who draws it is on site building it.
Every trade, one point of contact
A wet area needs a plumber, electrician, waterproofer, tiler and carpenter in the right order. Letitia books, sequences and checks all of them.
Queenslander specialists
Old Queenslanders are the bulk of York Design's work. Wonky walls, VJ timber and 100 year old floors are normal here.
Built around your budget
Ten years of flipping houses taught Letitia where money shows in a renovation and where it doesn't. You get that thinking for free.
Meet Letitia
Letitia started out as a teacher. In 2010 she renovated and flipped her first house, and over the next ten years she flipped 18 of them.
She then made it formal. Today she is a licensed builder and carpenter, with a Project Management Diploma and interior design qualifications. Most clients call her Tish.
That mix means she understands your renovation as the tradie, the designer, the project manager and the person paying for it.
What clients say
From Letitia's clients around Brisbane.
"Tish and the team at York Design were great to work with for my bathroom renovation. From understanding my wishes in our initial consultation (the brief included moving doors and externally facing windows) through to explaining the building process and understanding the building code, purchasing the right products and liaising with the numerous trades involved in a bathroom renovation I felt supported throughout the whole process."
"Tish's input through the design choices on site was invaluable. She quickly understood our brief and provided practical solutions, working within our budget and our desired look and feel. Nothing was too hard."
"Having only ever had bad experiences with builders, Letitia was a dream to work with. Her work is of the highest standard. Her attention to detail second to none. Letitia listens intently to what you want and she delivers exactly that."
